Her research interests focus on positive identity formation and identity negotiation among BIPOC youth. She aims to create culturally-responsive, action-oriented resources that empower BIPOC youth and equip the adults in their lives to better support their identity development.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine started her career in education as a secondary urban school teacher in Providence, Rhode Island. She believes that her students are the ones who inspired and motivated her to embark on her journey of educational research.
