Students can access these funds any time between passing their proposal hearing and defending their dissertation.<\/p>\n<p>Awards may carry over from one year to the next but are not replenished (for example, a student may use a portion of the funds in one year for participant payments and the remaining portion in another year for software support). Sixth-year students are eligible to request these funds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible expenses include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2836\">\n<li>Participant payments (typically in the form of gift cards)<\/li>\n<li>Coding and analysis software<\/li>\n<li>Database access<\/li>\n<li>Transcription services<\/li>\n<li>Travel to data collection sites<\/li>\n<li>Research assistant (faculty advisor must be willing to serve as the official supervisor)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: The funds cannot be used for conference travel, tuition, or stipend support.<\/p>\n<script
