BU Wheelock hosts affinity groups for our community interested in building networks, supporting one another, and honing skills. These groups build a sense of community and belonging\u2014and offer students the chance to meet others who may understand their culture, background, or area of study.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re interested in joining one of our affinity groups, email the contacts listed below to get started. Affinity groups are open to all interested students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anti-Oppression and Allyship Affinity Group<\/h3>\n

Graduate students are invited to come together to discuss and learn about ways to transform systems through radically honest self-reflection. <\/span><\/span>Open to all interested students.<\/span><\/p>\n

AAPI Affinity Group<\/h3>\n

This group builds community for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) and Asian international students at BU Wheelock. We hope to support each other and affirm our identities, resilience, and well-being. <\/span><\/span>Open to all interested students. <\/span><\/p>\n

Counselors of Color in Training Organization (COCITO)<\/h3>\n

Counselors of Color in Training Organization (COCITO) seeks to support students within the counseling psychology master\u2019s and doctoral programs at BU Wheelock. We do this by creating opportunities to work on skills, advocating for mental health needs in communities of color, and building supports for nurturing graduate student experience. <\/span>Open to all interested students.<\/p>\n

Educators of Color: First Fridays<\/h3>\n

Educators of Color: First Fridays is organized to create a loving, just space where Black and Brown educators can connect, synergize, vibe, and recharge. \u201cFirst Fridays\u201d is a monthly event. <\/span><\/span>Open to all interested students. <\/span><\/p>\n

International Student Affinity Group\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

This group creates opportunities for international students to connect with each other. There will also be shared resources and plenty of opportunities to enjoy their time here in Boston. <\/span><\/span>Open to all interested students.<\/span><\/p>\n

LGBTQAI+ Affinity Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

This group is designed to support graduate students to explore and express their identities. Through various social networks and activities, we create space and time for us to share community, solidarity, and joy. <\/span><\/span>Open to all interested students. <\/span><\/p>\n
