Coverdell Fellows program<\/a>, which offers a graduate school scholarship to returned Peace Corps volunteers who wish to pursue graduate degrees in select fields of study. BU Wheelock master\u2019s degrees are taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields, and our specialized programs provide the ideal blend of theoretical knowledge alongside skill-building exercises and experiential opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Master of Education (EdM)<\/strong>: Expands students\u2019 knowledge of a particular content area while also exploring research and theory.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/early-childhood\/edm-in-early-childhood-education\/\">Early Childhood Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/elementary-education\/edm-in-elementary-education\/\">Elementary Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/special-education\/edm-in-special-education\/\">Special Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/world-language-education\/edm-in-world-language-education\/\">World Language Education<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)<\/strong>: Enables individuals interested in earning the initial teaching licensure needed to become a successful classroom teacher at the middle or high school level.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/english-language-arts-education\/mat-in-english-education-for-equity-justice\/\">English Education for Equity &amp; Justice<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/mathematics-education\/mat-in-mathematics-education\/\">Mathematics Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/science-education\/mat-in-science-education\/\">Science Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wheelock\/degree-program\/social-studies-education\/mat-in-social-studies-education\/\">Social Studies Education<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coverdell Fellows gain valuable, hands-on experience that makes them more competitive in today\u2019s job market while furthering the Peace Corps mission. All program fellows will complete internships in underserved Greater Boston communities while they pursue their studies, allowing them to apply what they learn in the classroom to a professional setting.
