Become the Educator Every Child Deserves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The EdM in Elementary Education is master’s degree program for individuals with liberal arts or professional undergraduate degrees who are seeking licensure as an elementary teacher. You’ll learn to provide high-quality instruction that promotes the learning and development for general education students in grades 1\u20136. You’ll also learn how to have an impact in the classroom through field-based experiences and on-site coursework in school settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the master’s in elementary education program, you may also choose to add licensure in special education or ESL. This flexible master’s program can be completed both full- and part-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EdM in Elementary Education prepares you for licensure as an elementary school teacher. You\u2019ll gain the knowledge, practical experience, and ongoing support needed to inspire young learners and make a meaningful impact in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gain Meaningful Field Experiences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Graduate preservice teacher candidates will take a rigorous course of study while participating in mentored field experiences. You’ll complete a pre-practicum and an on-site methods course, which will prepare you for a full-time student teaching practicum during your final semester. In the spring, you’ll student teach for the entire term, assuming responsibility for designing and implementing instruction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
