Welcome to Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development
In June 2018, Wheelock College merged with Boston University’s School of Education to form the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, an academic unit within Boston University. Our new college unites the resources and capabilities of a major research university with established expertise in early childhood and K–12 education, renewing and expanding our commitment to education at BU. Together, we’ll explore how people grow, learn, and interact, and we’ll generate new scholarship, new clinical practices, and new ways to engage the community.
We’ve gathered some helpful online resources here to ease your transition, whether you’re a student or vendor, parent or employee. For more specific detail about how the merger came about and how we’re making it happen, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions page of the BU & Wheelock Merger website.

Wheelock is an accredited institution and will be until June 1, 2018. Alumni who graduated with a diploma from Wheelock should reference that they attended/graduated from Wheelock. After June 1, 2018, you will be able to obtain a transcript through the registrar at Boston University. All current alumni of Wheelock will be supported and treated as alumni of Boston University and Wheelock at BU. Access your alumni benefits, update your contact information, and check out upcoming alumni events on the BU Alumni Association website. After June 1, 2018, Wheelock alumni will be invited to participate in BU Alumni Weekend.
