SLL Research Assistant, Mercedes Muñoz, Receives Outstanding Student Researcher Award

Second-year undergraduate Psychology student, Mercedes Muñoz (CAS’21), received the Outstanding Student Researcher Award from Boston University’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) for her research conducted during the summer of 2018. Muñoz, who is a Research Assistant for Wheelock’s Social Learning Lab (SLL), was nominated by Dr. Kathleen Corriveau, Director of the SLL.

Muñoz will be featured in the UROP Symposium Abstract Booklet and her nomination will be highlighted on a digital poster board during the Symposium on October, 19th.

As Director, Dr. Corriveau leads research primarily examining the social and cognitive development of young children. In addition to her work with the SLL, Dr. Corriveau also serves as Associate Professor and Wheelock’s Co-Director for Ph.D. Programs in Applied Human Development.
