Social Learning Laboratory

The Social Learning Lab is led by Professor Kathleen Corriveau, human development. Professor Corriveau joined the faculty of Boston University in 2011 as an assistant professor. Her research focuses on social and cognitive development in childhood, with a specific focus on how children decide what people and what information are trustworthy sources. Learn more about Professor Corriveau and her research here.

In the Social Learning Lab, Professor Corriveau and her students are exploring how children use adults to learn about the world. They will research children’s use of social and cognitive information when learning about the world, and how children navigate these diverse sources of information. The lab aims to produce research that will develop an “understanding of the cues that facilitate learning in young children [to] inform classroom practices, interventions, and the provision of digital information.”
