Black History Month Celebration

  • Starts: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026
  • Ends: 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Please join the Conscious Educators of Color undergraduate organization for a Black History Month celebration.

We will be joined by celebrated textile artist Susan Thompson. Susan's work is currently on view at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) and has recently been exhibited at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Spoke Gallery, and the Boston Athenaeum. She is a member of the African American Artists in Residence Program (AAMARP) at Northeastern University.

Susan will lead us in a hands-on textile art project centered on the theme of Sankofa, a value rooted in Ghana's Akan Twi language that translates to "it is okay to go back for those we have left behind."
