Alumni Summer Celebration Brings Community Together
The third annual Alumni Summer Celebration brought together several generations of BU Wheelock, Wheelock College, and BU School of Education’s graduates together to reconnect and celebrate with classmates and other members of the BU Wheelock community.
Throughout the day, alumni enjoyed opportunities to engage with one another while reflecting on the college’s past, present, and future. The day started with a display of Wheelock College and SED archives presented by BU Archivist Sean Noel and Outreach Archivist Ford Curran. One of the day’s highlights was the “Now and Then” campus tour, led by Michael Dennehy (CAS’92, Wheelock’01) and BU Wheelock senior Ella Anderson. Blending personal stories with BU history, the tour offered alumni a chance to revisit familiar places on the Charles River campus and discover what’s changed since they were students.
The Summer Celebration concluded with a special reception held at the Wheelock Family Theatre and a tour of some of the historical Wheelock College buildings on BU’s Fenway Campus.
