Dr. Kenann McKenzie Joins Patient & Family Education team at Boston Children’s
Director of BU Wheelock’s Aspire Institute Dr. Kenann McKenzie has accepted a volunteer role on the Patient & Family Education Team at Boston Children’s hospital. As part of this team, she will apply her expertise in community wellness to the assessment process for media materials distributed to parents of patients at Boston Children’s Hospital. She hopes her contributions to the process can help ensure that these materials parents receive are culturally relevant and sensitive to readers from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds, while also being straightforward and accessible.
Dr. McKenzie connected with Boston Children’s Hospital through Wheelock alumna Miranda Day (’03), who serves as Director of Family and Volunteer Services at Boston Children’s and sits on the board of the Aspire Institute.
