Dr. Caselli to Deliver Keynote Address at Educational Technology for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Conference

Caselli Web CropDr. Naomi Caselli, lecturer in Deaf Studies at the School of Education, has been invited to give the keynote address at the Educational Technology for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing conference at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf.

The speech will introduce teachers to an interactive website created by Dr. Caselli called ASL-LEX, which catalogues more than 40 pieces of information about 1,000 signs in American Sign Language. This talk will engage teachers who work with deaf students to consider ways of using this database as a tool to assess and support vocabulary development in children learning American Sign Language.

More information about the ASL-LEX website can be found at asl-lex.org.
