www.theaslshop.com What if by just devoting 10 minutes a day you could learn a new language? That’s what Stephanie, the founder of The ASL Shop, will be discussing. She will give insights into the importance of learning American Sign Language for anyone who wants to improve their communication skills or learn a new language. By utilizing Instagram as an educational platform, she has been able to teach a mass audience about the linguistic values of ASL. Stephanie is a native ASL user and proud Deaf woman residing in Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in ASL with a minor in Linguistics and a Master of Arts degree in Sign Language Education, both from Gallaudet University. Pursuing her passion for teaching, she went on to found her company, The ASL Shop. She began teaching daily signs on her Instagram account which now has surpassed 100k followers! In her presentation, she will share her journey and how learning ASL is beneficial for any reason, whether it be communicating with co-workers, friends, customers, or little ones!
