Center on the Ecology of Early Development
The Center on the Ecology of Early Development (CEED) at BU Wheelock is a research center that empowers families and community members caring for Black children to advocate for the rights of their children.
CEED’s work includes:
- Conducting applied research that examines young children’s positive growth and development within health, education, and community settings
- Providing training, coaching, and systemic professional development plans focused on equity and antiracist practices in health facilities, classrooms, and community organizations
- Disseminating applied research that can be used to design of policies, programs, and systemic practices that foster the healthy development and academic success of racially and ethnically diverse learners
- Offering leadership opportunities grounded in culturally relevant, healing-focused coaching and training to a diverse group of scientists, practitioners, and teachers
