This award emphasizes the value of students\u2019 enduring commitment to serving marginalized communities, both during and after obtaining their degree. The award honors Christa Rose and WGS alumni\u2019s legacy of student advocacy and celebrates individuals who exemplify the values of social justice, inclusivity, and dedication to the well-being and advancement of marginalized communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Award Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Significant Positive Impact:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Research &amp;\/or advocacy work that demonstrates a positive impact on BIPOC communities<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Long-Term Commitment: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dedication to ongoing engagement with &amp; service to marginalized communities, extending beyond degree program requirements<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Centering Marginalization:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Research &amp;\/or advocacy work that actively centers the experiences of individuals who face multiple forms of marginalization &amp; oppression, with a particular emphasis on addressing topics that are historically underrepresented within the field of WGS. Priority will be given to work that addresses any or all of the following:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black, Indigenous, &amp;\/or Latinx\/\u00e9 identities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transgender &amp;\/or gender-expansive identities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Low-income &amp;\/or first-generation student statuses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Dis)ability &amp;\/or neurodivergence<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Eligibility<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at Boston University<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have completed at least one (1) Women&#8217;s, Gender, &amp; Sexuality Studies (WGS) course.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Submission Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/3vxP2J3oUcnMtjqW8\">Please submit your nomination<\/a> (including self-nominations) no later than April 17, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET.
