If you have questions about these resources please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/veterans\/contact-us\/\">Contact Us<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Financial Assistance<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/\/www.bu.edu\/veterans\/admissions-financial-aid\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU Admissions and Financial Aid:<\/a><br \/>\nBoston University\u2019s\u00a0full-time tuition rates exceed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benefits.va.gov\/gibill\/resources\/benefits_resources\/rate_tables.asp\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Post 9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae annual maximum<\/a>, and students are actively encouraged to apply for financial aid.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate applicants (i.e. students pursuing a bachelor\u2019s degree) are encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/apply\/\" targt=\"_blank&quot;\">apply for financial aid<\/a> and to be aware of all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/admissions\/apply\/deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">important deadlines<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate and Professional applicants are encouraged to contact their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/grad\/admission-funding\/financing-your-education\/graduate-financial-aid-offices\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">graduate financial aid office<\/a> for more information on financing options.<\/li>\n<li>Boston University encourages students to limit their educational borrowing to no more than absolutely necessary. Educational loans must be repaid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/bufellow\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fellowships &amp; Scholarships:<\/a><br \/>\nThe Office of Fellowships &amp; Scholarships provides information, outreach, and support to high-achieving Boston University students who may be candidates for these nationally-competitive awards. Opportunities requiring the University\u2019s endorsement, such as the Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, DAAD, Luce, James C. Gaither Jr., Goldwater, Truman, and Udall scholarships and fellowships are supported and administered through this office. Advice is also provided to students applying for prestigious competitions that do not require institutional nomination, such as the Gates Cambridge Scholarship and others.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/collegescorecard.ed.gov\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">College Scorecards:<\/a><br \/>\nCollege Scorecards in the U.S. Department of Education\u2019s College Affordability and Transparency Center make it easier for you to search for a college that is a good fit for you. You can use the College Scorecard to find out more about a college\u2019s affordability and value so you can make more informed decisions about which college to attend.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nces.ed.gov\/collegenavigator\/?q=Boston+University&amp;s=all&amp;id=164988\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">College Navigator:<\/a><br \/>\nThe\u00a0National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. NCES is located within the U.S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences. NCES fulfills a Congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and review and report on education activities internationally.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.consumerfinance.gov\/paying-for-college\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paying for College:<\/a><br \/>\nGet help to make informed financial decisions about how to pay for college. Start by comparing financial aid offers or understanding student loan repayment options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Personal and Professional Development <\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"\/\/www.bu.edu\/careers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU Center for Career Development:<\/a><br \/>\nThe Center for Career development offers online resources, workshops and programs, and seasoned counselors to help guide students with networking, job opportunities, salary negotiations, and more. The Center\u2019s mission is to help you grow your professional life while you\u2019re at BU and after you graduate. Use this resource!<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/newbury-center\/\">Newbury Center \u2013 First Generation Student<\/a><br \/>\nVeterans-friendly and student oriented, the Newbury Center at Boston University supports the holistic development and success of first-generation undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. A first-gen undergrad is one whose parents\/guardians\/caregivers did not earn a 4-year bachelor&#8217;s degree. A first-gen grad\/professional student is one whose parents\/guardians\/caregivers did not earn an advanced degree like a master&#8217;s, doctorate, or professional degree.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veterati.com\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veterati:<\/a><br \/>\nVeterati was reviewed and approved by the BU Center for Career Development as a valuable online mentorship platform for BU\u2019s military-affiliated students:\u201cThis is an online mentorship platform that connects military affiliated people to thousands of professional mentors who have already uploaded their availability. It basically acts as a LinkedIn for service members, veterans, and military spouses.\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fourblock.org\/programs\/career-readiness-program\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fourblock:<\/a><br \/>\nAlso approved by BU\u2019s Center for Career Development, FourBlock is a \u201c\u2026veteran career readiness and transition assistance program aimed at equipping the next wave of veterans for successful civilian careers. Offered in major American cities, and now with virtual cohorts based on timezone, FourBlock is a free, structured and immersive professional mentorship program for veterans seeking personal brand development and new career opportunities.\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veteransinc.org\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veterans Inc:<\/a><br \/>\nApproved by BU\u2019s Center for Career Development: \u201cVeterans Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit headquartered in Massachusetts, and is the largest provider of support services to veterans and their families across New England. Veterans Inc.\u2019s clinical case management approach addresses the \u2018total veteran,\u2019 incorporating job training and employment services, health and wellness, and supportive services ranging from transportation to legal advice.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Department of Veterans Affairs<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/boston-vet-center\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Vet Center:<\/a><br \/>\nThe Boston Vet Center provides no cost counseling services, benefits assistance, and community connection for Veterans, active duty service members, and their families. You may visit their website or call 857-203-6461 for more information.<\/p>\n<li style=\"padding-top: 1em;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/careers-employment\/education-and-career-counseling\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chapter 36 \u2013 VA Educational and Career Counseling:<\/a><br \/>\nThe Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Education and Career Counseling Program (Title 38, U.S.C. Chapter 36) supports transitioning service members, veterans, and qualified dependents.
