Advance planning is the best way to ensure the smooth return to your studies.\u00a0 The <\/a>checklists below may be helpful as you complete steps to resume enrollment, whether for a spring, summer, or fall return.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate Student Return Checklists<\/h4>

Resolve all outstanding holds (financial, compliance, medical review) and take care of any to-do items. If you have outstanding holds or to-do items, you may not be able to complete list items below in the recommended timeframe, and may need to postpone your return to a later semester.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Medical Review<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Students who have taken a leave of absence for medical reasons must complete the medical review process with Student Health Services (SHS) before registering for classes. \u00a0Wondering if you need to complete medical review?\u00a0 Log into MyBU Student and check.<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Medical review process details and the necessary forms may be found on the Student Health Services website<\/a> (scroll to the section titled, “Medical Review Process”).\u00a0 Read the process overview carefully now and reach out with any questions, even if you aren’t yet ready to start submitting your forms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> You can also find more information linked at the general medical review<\/a> page.<\/td>\n

The optimal time for undergraduates to complete medical review:<\/p>\n

  • Returning for spring semester: <\/strong>May-October before spring pre-registration begins (May-Oct 2026 for Spring 2027 return<\/em>)<\/li>\n
  • Returning for fall semester: <\/strong>December-February before fall pre-registration begins (Dec 2026-Feb 2027 for Fall 2027 return<\/em>)<\/li>\n

Please contact your ISSO advisor<\/a> at least ninety days before your desired re-entry date, and after completing medical review if applicable. You may require a new DS-2019 or I-20 as part of your return; for additional information, please refer to the ISSO website<\/a>.<\/td>\n\n

Students must register for courses on or after their assigned registration date<\/a>, following completion of required academic advising and, if applicable, the medical review process.<\/p>\n

All registration activities take place in MyBU Student<\/a>, where students can also access helpful video guides and knowledge articles to assist with schedule building and enrollment.<\/td>\n
