Vasiliki (Vasia) Kalavri joined the Computer Science department Boston University in Fall 2019. She was previously a member of the Systems group as a Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Z\u00fcrich to work on Strymon, a system for predictive datacenter analytics. Vasiliki completed her PhD at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, and the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, where she was an EMJD-DC fellow.<\/p>\n
Vasiliki\u2019s research interests include distributed data processing, streaming computation, and large-scale graph analysis. She is a committer and PMC member of Apache Flink and co-author of the Stream Processing with Apache Flink book. Vasiliki also holds degrees from the National Technical University of Athens (2010) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2012)<\/p>\n
