Every full-time BU undergraduate student is eligible to participate in UROP. Student-faculty partnerships span all academic areas\u2014from biological and engineering sciences, to economics and sociology, to history and religion, to business and the arts. Our goal is to provide financial support to every student who qualifies for the program. But interest in undergraduate research is growing every year, and we\u2019re simply not able to provide funding to all of our high-quality applicants.<\/p>\n
UROP Impact Report 2025<\/a><\/p>\n Students who participate in undergraduate research gain valuable experience in their field and a distinct advantage when applying to graduate programs or employment opportunities. References from faculty mentors endorse their researchers\u2019 intellectual abilities, practical skills, and academic potential.
