Late applications must be approved by UROP staff in advance, and extensions longer than 24 hours are rarely granted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall 2026 Application Deadline<br \/>\n<\/strong>Friday, September 11 by 12:00 PM<br \/>\n<em>*Applications are now closed. The application for fall 2026 will open in early August.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"extra-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop\/apply\/deadlines\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"blocktext\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"underline\">Submission Deadlines<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Learn when applications for the UROP program are due.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<img src=\"\/urop\/files\/2015\/07\/posters.jpg\"\/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Two separate online components are required to apply for UROP funding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Student application<\/li>\n<li>Recommendation letter from the research mentor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mentor recommendations are due by midnight on the application due date. Our application system will notify your mentor once you have applied and direct them to the recommendation form. However, your mentor may complete the <a href=\"\/urop\/mentors\/recommendation-forms\/\">faculty recommendation forms<\/a> at any time prior to your application submission.
