Potential for UROP Funding, Potential for Academic Credit

The BU Morphable Biorobotics Lab is searching for a highly-motivated undergraduate studying electrical engineering (EE) to assist with the design and construction of electronic systems needed for soft robotic control. The student should have a basic knowledge of microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.) and the principles behind circuit design/analysis. The student should hold an interest (but not necessarily a strong background) in fields like robotics, control theory, medical devices, and electrophysics. The student should also be open to exploring topics outside of the EE major, such as mechanical design, materials science, and chemistry, as soft robotics is a highly interdisciplinary field of research. Please contact Dr. Tommaso Ranzani ( with your resume if interested.
