Our lab focuses specifically on four projects for which we are looking for research assistants: Discipline-Based Leadership and Mentoring Program (DBLM), High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 (HSLS:09), Experiences of Transfer Students from Closed Colleges, and the Early Career Research (ECR) project. DBLM addresses questions in undergraduate learning outcomes in STEM. HSLS longitudinal study examines how high school motivation beliefs impact postsecondary STEM outcomes. Closed college study advances knowledge of transfer students by examining the experiences of transfer students from closed private colleges at their receiving institutions. ECR is a mixed-methods study of student development outcomes and equity among doctoral students in the biological sciences as they complete their graduate programs and transition into their careers.

The ideal candidate will have some experience with statistical software (R, STATA, SPSS, etc); curiosity for social science research; and will have an ability to complete task in a timely manner.
