Overview
Palestinian author and activist Najati Sidqi (1905-1979) was a pioneering antifascist theorist, translator of Russian literature, and Arabic short story writer. As part of a larger research project on his life and family, I am looking for two students to help translate some of his works: his vividly written memoir of his years in the Palestinian Communist Party, his 1940 book “Nazi Principles and Islamic Traditions: Can They Ever Agree?” and, as time permits, some stories from his two short story collections. None of this work has appeared in English before, so there is the possibility for publication.
