Hutyra<\/strong><span>\u00a0is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University.\u00a0 She received her PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences in 2007 from Harvard University. At Boston University, she is the co-director of the Urban Climate Initiative and an associate director of the NSF-funded <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/urban\">Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health<\/a>.
