Are you also taking CH 203 in the Fall? Are you interested in a <strong>research-like<\/strong> lab experience?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To reinforce foundational concepts of Chemistry, Biology and Neuroscience in an interdisciplinary lab format that is realistic to how the disciplines are applied in a biomedical research setting.<\/li>\n<li>To build technical skills at lab techniques and experimental approaches that are used in each of these disciplines, as well as in interdisciplinary areas like drug discovery.<\/li>\n<li>To promote scientific critical thinking and independence, through the student-driven development of a <strong>Capstone Project<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Pre-Health Advising Office was closely consulted in the development of these courses. The interest form is NOT a binding decision or a guarantee of placement.<\/p>\n<p><span>During registration, students are expected to register for the regular sections and components of CH 203 and NE 203\/BI 203 as they normally would:<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>CH 203 Lecture\/Discussion\/Lab\/Pre-Lab<\/li>\n<li><span>NE 203 Lecture\/Lab <strong>OR<\/strong> BI 203 Lecture\/Discussion<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><em>If you are a Neuroscience major, we highly recommend that you take the NE route.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After registration closes, students who filled out the interest form will be offered a spot based on availability and satisfactory final performance in CH 102\/116. Note you will only receive a response to your interest form entry if you are offered a seat.
