Below are some links you can use to start identifying colleges that will be a good match for you.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment301\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment301\" style=\"width: 293px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-301 \" title=\"UB\/UBMS Class of 2010\" src=\"\/ubms\/files\/2010\/09\/2010.jpg\" alt=\"UB\/UBMS Class of 2010\" width=\"283\" height=\"339\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment301\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Students from the UBMS Class of 2010 are headed off to colleges including: UMASS Boston, UMASS Dartmouth, Simmons College, Wheelock College, Framingham State College and Centre College<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonyouthzone.com\/resources\/College_Guide\/\">City of Boston College Guide<\/a> &#8211; The Boston Youth Zone has compiled some links about preparing for college as well as seeking financial aid and scholarships.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowhow2go.org\/\">Know How 2 Go<\/a> campaigns to help low-income and first generation students pursue higher education.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/collegesearch.collegeboard.com\/search\/index.jsp\">College Board<\/a> has compiled facts and information about colleges across the country &#8212; their College Match Maker is a very useful search tool.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-colleges\/\">U.S. News Best Colleges<\/a> &#8211; Every year U.S. News ranks 1,400 schools.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctcl.org\/\">Colleges That Change Lives <\/a> is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairtest.org\/university\/optional\">Test Optional Schools<\/a> from FairTest.org lists schools that do not require test results with applications.<\/li>\n<li>Colleges with a pledge to reduce student loans are listed on <a href=\"http:\/\/projectonstudentdebt.org\/pc_institution.php\">The Project on Student Debt<\/a> website.<\/li>\n<li>My College Options <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mycollegeoptions.org\/college-search\/us.aspx\">My College Options<\/a> is another college match search resource.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Admissions Tests<\/h2>\n<p>UBMS assists students with vouchers for free or reduced test rates.\u00a0 Make sure to come to the office to get vouchers well before registration deadlines.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sat.collegeboard.com\/register\">The SAT &#8211; College Board<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.actstudent.org\/regist\/dates.html\">The ACT <\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ets.org\/toefl\/ibt\/about\">The Toefl iBT<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Financial Aid<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa4caster.ed.gov\/F4CApp\/index\/index.jsf\">FAFSA4Caster<\/a> will help you estimate your Expected Family Contribution for college<\/li>\n<li>In January of your Senior year you will need to complete the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa.ed.gov\/\">Free Application for Federal\u00a0Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/a> The FAFSA is a free application &#8212; do not use any sites that charge you money to file the FAFSA.<\/li>\n<li>Some colleges (especially private schools) require that you also complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/profileonline.collegeboard.com\/prf\/index.jsp\">CSS\/Profile<\/a>.
