MFA Candidate in Literary Translation from Japanese

  • Title MFA Candidate in Literary Translation from Japanese

Alexa Drescher, a recent graduate of Boston University, has spent the past four years studying International Relations and the Japanese language. She now aspires to continue her Japanese studies through the MFA graduate program with the ultimate aim of becoming a translator from Japanese to English. Whether this will take the form of translating manga-style comic books or larger modern novels remains to be seen, but she has a passion for all things language and is looking forward to trying her hand at translating different genres of literature.
