Former Terrier Joe Sacco New Boston Bruins Head Coach
Joe Sacco (center), a former Terrier men’s hockey player who left BU before graduation to launch his professional career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, was named Boston Bruins interim coach on Tuesday. Sacco replaced Jim Montgomery, who was fired as head coach following the team’s disappointing 8-9-3 early season record. Sacco had been an assistant coach with the Bruins since 2014.
