2022 Bach Competition Grand Winner

The winners of this year’s annual College of Fine Arts Bach Competition, which requires BU string majors to memorize and prepare an entire Bach suite, performed at a special concert at the CFA Concert Hall on November 29. Competition grand winner Leqing Wang (CFA’25) performed Sonata No. 1 in G minor, BWV 1001, by Johann Sebastian Bach, at the concert. Wang has been playing the violin since the age of four, and describes how she feels on stage thus: “I am in my own space.” She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music Arts at the BU School of Music.
