There are 4 comments on Will Actor Jussie Smollett’s Alleged Hoax Hurt Future Hate Crime Victims?

  1. Yes, he’s a public figure and when break the trust of the media you cant get it back. He deceived his colleagues who offered love and support and because of this, when LGBT hate crime happens people would think this is another drama queen craving for attention.

  2. It will help everyone to stop taking someone’s words for they is face value.
It’s a good time to reexamine other issue and demand evidence to be presented: did Russian actually meddle in our elections, was Venezuela election unfair, who we fighting in Afganistan and so on.

  3. He lies because of greed. Now he wants sympathy of course his family will support him. But he hurt this already broken nation. Really you gonna lie about this especially while we are dealing with Trump. We have stand up and call truth truth. And lies lies

  4. Smollett is guiltily of a hate crime. What he did should carry the exact same punishment as someone committing the actual crime that he was claiming has happened to him.

What if somebody matching the description of the perpetrator happened to be in the area? They would have no doubt arrested him and threw a book at him. And Smollett would have no doubt id’d Him as the real perpetrator.
