There are 3 comments on Not Acting Her Age

  1. My mother Jo Farkas finally died (for real) on May 28, 2023, after an extraordinary life breaking all the rules and being a strong independent woman when the idea was taboo. She inspired people of all ages to follow their inner dream and to look internally for direction and not rely on others to point the way. She inspired others to say what they mean and to mean what they say. She inspired others to walk the talk and not merely talk the walk. She was proud to lead the way and to pioneer independent living when the idea was a novelty in the 1950s and for which she was richly ostracized by men and women alike. She was proud of her time with BU and I am proud that she is my mother and that she will continue to inspire me for the remainder of my life.
