  1. Thank you! It is wonderful to see the University promoting public transit and supporting its employees as so many of our peer institutions do, too. This is a benefit I have long been hoping for and I very much appreciate is now being offered.

  2. This is wonderful! It is great to see that BU is really encouraging and helping people be more environmentally conscious. This is a very significant financial benefit, and so it’s really appreciated.

    1. Good Afternoon,

      Happy to help.

Please call me tomorrow at (617) 353-2160 so I may better understand your situation. The Parking & Transportation Services office is open weekdays from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and you may also reach me via email at tpdunn@bu.edu.

  3. Students should get more than an 11% discount. They are the ones who are paying all their expenses (tuition, fees, books, housing, etc) and have to pay for transportation on top of that.

  4. Thank you to the University for enacting this important benefit! Cost savings to employees, reduced car congestion on campus, and more sustainable commuting – win, win, win!

  5. Great initiative as a whole, but as a 3rd year, 30+ hour a week student employee of BU, I’m spending more than 30% of my paycheck every week on getting to campus and back, and none of those opportunities apply to me. I leave for my train at 6:30am every day, and don’t get home until 12 or 13 hours later. I wish BU was better about reviewing things like this on a case-by-case basis.
It’s awful for me a few months a year, but I feel even worse for my friends who can’t afford to live on campus and have to choose paying for public transit or books/supplies.
