ASB 2016 Volunteers: Tweet Your Experience
BU students share what they’re doing around the country in real time
Some 375 BU students left Boston this past weekend, traveling across the country by bus, train, plane, and van to work as volunteers in this year’s Community Service Center Alternative Service Breaks (ASB) program. They are spending the week in 37 locations, among them Atlanta, Ga., Milwaukee, Wis., the Great Smoky Mountains, Tenn., and Fort Smith, Ark., helping the homeless and the chronically ill, promoting environmental awareness and rebuilding trails at state and national parks, renovating affordable housing, and much more.
If you’re participating in this year’s ASB, BU Today would like to hear from you. Send tweets and pics, using #BUasb, and let us know how your trip is going. Comments will show up in the Twitter widget above throughout the week.
