  1. Can someone explain how this map was generated? If you zoom in far enough, it appears that you can pin-point the precise street location where the “conversation” took place.

    1. Hi Steven! We used CartoDB as the mapping tool. They use Twitter’s API to pull in geo-enabled tweets which then allowed us to create our map! Tweets are geo-enabled based off of user preferences, so those without geo-tags do not appear.

  2. Thank you Ben. I don’t use tweeter myself, so was not aware of this feature (not at all surprised though). Thank you also for answering what would have been my next question — regarding whether or not user has any control over this.
