There are 6 comments on Hockey Coach as Life Coach

  1. The headline “Life Coach,” yet I heard and read nothing about making the players better people, or how he is employing better oversight of players’ life skills, or what Coach Quinn is doing to break down the “culture of sexual entitlement” cited in previous articles. http://www.bu.edu/today/2012/hockey-task-force-finds-oversight-deficiencies-culture-of-entitlement/

What he is doing as a coach is a decent article. The Headline including “Life Coach” is a very poor choice considering the recent history of BU Hockey.

  2. We’re not far off from a ‘0 – 34’ record this season, so this is obviously not working out.
When have the BU Terriers ever been next to last place in Hockey East?
How many years have we been unranked nationally?
I know hockey games and outcomes can be unpredictable and haphazard, but the record thus far is not good.
Even Northeastern of all places is up there in the rankings.

    1. “Even Northeastern of all places is up there in the rankings.”

Because Northeastern’s team is good. They’ve earned their current standing. Nothing to do with BU having a less than average season.

      1. A team’s success for just one season doesn’t impress. A consistently solid program, like ours WAS, creates expectations. As much as I hate to say it, this could be another banner year for Boston C: 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014?? What are they doing right that we can’t do?

    2. give Quinn time. He’s a great recruiter. Most of the players which formed the title champion 2009 team were recruited by him and he had success building the Neb- Omaha program from nothing to NCAA qualifier in a few years. I think he’s the perfect choice to succeed Parker and the next 2 classes coming in are loaded with talent. B.U. will back in the frozen four very soon and to stay, you’ll see.
