  1. I’m very impressed with the BU students who drove across the country to work all day long to rebuild an abandoned home. Admiration goes to all the ASB students. Thanks for this inspiring essay.

  2. I am so impressed with this Mike Barry. He shows me that Boston University students are concerned with the world around them. He is an inspiration to the rest of the community.

  3. I have been reading about all of the wonderful things that BU students have been accomplishing on Alternative Spring Break, but today this article especially caught my attention because I’m from Goshen! Of all the small towns to travel to from Boston (and trust me – it is a hike – especially in a uHaul truck!) it’s so great to hear that BU students helped out in my hometown. I’m willing to bet you drove by a few of my friends’ houses on 7th Street and got to see some of the places around town that I frequented as a kid.

Thank you for sharing and thank you for taking the time and energy to help out in Goshen – it’s no exaggeration, they’ve been hit very hard with the recession.

  4. You all should be proud of yourselves for helping that community. All college students need this experience. Your group, and all students in the BU ASB group set a good example for your peers.

  5. Fantastic article, but more importantly, fantastic work done by Mike, Dorothy and Co. I look forward to seeing what great things Mr. Barry will do next!
