The space features a meditation room, a kitchenette-esque nook, classrooms and meeting rooms with sweeping views of Comm Ave and the city, and more. But the question remains: what can you <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">do<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with all this space? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, first and foremost, you never <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to do anything at the Howard Thurman Center. You do not need a reason or explanation to come in and come alive in our space. However, if you\u2019d like a reason to be here, we have plenty:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Programs\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The HTC offers more than a dozen regularly occurring <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/thurman\/programs\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">programs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, most of which are hosted by our own <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B57_3H2AhTD\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">student ambassadors<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. No two programs are alike &#8211; each has been thoughtfully designed with our incredibly dynamic and diverse university community in mind. We hope you find that there is something for everyone, including you, at the HTC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Late Night Listens<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This monthly program celebrates iconic artists, albums, and genre-defining moments. All BU students are invited to this listening party &#8211; and we do mean party (sing along! Dance if the spirit moves you) and discussion about the music and artist. Past playlists include East Coast v. West Coast Hip Hop, Cardi B\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Invasion of Privacy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Lauryn Hill\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Queen\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Night at the Opera<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Tom Petty\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Full Moon Fever<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These playlists and more can be found on our Spotify @<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/user\/buhtc\">buhtc<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tea Time\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This weekly program celebrates the flavors, traditions, and ceremonies of tea from countries around the world. Students are invited to sample loose-leaf teas and join in thoughtful and thought-provoking discussions led by our student ambassadors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Student-Faculty Forums\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our monthly forums are hosted in partnership with Dean Emerita Virigina Sapiro, Professor of Political Science and Women\u2019s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
