What: Charcoal is a fully student-run venture that publishes student-submitted artwork, and other original content, including essays, poems, and photos. A first-of-its-kind publication at Boston University, Charcoal creates space for student artists of color to come together, connect, and find community. The magazine has two key goals: promote student artists of color by publishing their work and jumpstart the collaborative artistic community that already exists on other university campuses.
