If you are hosting a program that is relevant to the mission of the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff, we would be interested in sharing it with members of the campus community, and we may be interested in cosponsoring the program with you.<\/p>\n Departments with which the center has partnered include BU Arts Initiative, College of Fine Arts, College of Arts & Sciences, Dean of Students Office, Department of Religion, Diversity & Inclusion, Equal Opportunity Office, Gen\/Sex, Health Humanities Project, LGBTQIA+ Faculty and Staff Community Network, Queer Activist Collective, School of Law, School of Theology, Trans Listening Circle, Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, and Women\u2019s Gender and Sexuality Studies.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n There are numerous BU offices with which we have close working relationships, including:<\/p>\n The LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff is part of Boston University Community & Inclusion (C&I)<\/a>, and we have a close, collaborative relationship with our fellow C&I offices. These offices include:<\/p>\n EOO oversees both Title IX and Equal Opportunity\/Affirmative Action for complaints against a faculty, staff member, affiliate or nonaffiliate. The Dean of Students\u2019 Office of Judicial Affairs is responsible for complaints against students. If you are experiencing workplace discrimination or a hostile work environment, on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity (or any other protected class), the EOO office is an excellent resource. Both Title IX and BU\u2019s nondiscrimination laws\/policies include protection based on sexual orientation and gender identity in addition to sex and gender. They have both formal and informal resolutions. We collaborate and consult with each other on a wide array of topic areas focused on improving climate for all employees, including LGBTQIA+ employees at BU. One current joint initiative is the Dead Naming Committee, which is a cross collaboration with our offices and IS&T to identify and improve systems where trans and nonbinary employee\u2019s dead name appears.
