Going forward, Duo Push via the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/duo.com\/product\/multi-factor-authentication-mfa\/duo-mobile-app#download\">Duo Mobile App<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>will be the primary method for authentication.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What This Means for You:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re already using Duo Push, no action is needed \u2014 everything will continue as usual.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t set up Duo Push yet, here\u2019s what you need to do:<\/p>\n<ol><\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Download the Duo Mobile App on your smartphone or tablet (available for iOS and Android).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact the BU IT Help Center at <a href=\"mailto:ithelp@bu.edu\">ithelp@bu.edu<\/a>\u00a0or call 617-353-4357 (HELP) for a link to activate the Duo mobile app via text message.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Log into any BU online application or service and you will then see Duo Push as an option to authenticate.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For individuals who are unable to use the Duo Mobile App, a hardware security key is an available alternative. or more information visit the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.duo.com\/security-keys\">Duo webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Need Assistance?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>If you have any questions or need help setting up Duo Push, please don\u2019t hesitate to reach out to BU IT Help at\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:ithelp@bu.edu\">ithelp@bu.edu<\/a><span>\u00a0or call 617-353-4357 (HELP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your attention to this important update.<\/p>\n<p>BU Information Security<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 4, 2025: Boston University is no longer supporting text message or phone call options for Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo MFA).
