Just like Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams allows you to hold scheduled or impromptu online meetings and chat with colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>We have assembled a<span>\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Microsoft Teams training\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/z-retired-pages\/training\/\">training resources page<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>with helpful guides, videos and<span>\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Microsoft Teams transition FAQ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/z-retired-pages\/training\/faqs\/\">FAQs<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>to help you navigate Teams like a pro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I access Microsoft Teams?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Microsoft Teams web app can be accessed by visiting<span>\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Microsoft Teams web app\" href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/\">https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com<\/a>. Google Chrome is recommended.<\/p>\n<p>To install the Microsoft Teams desktop application,<span>\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Microsoft Teams installer\" href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/downloads\">download the installer<\/a>. Microsoft Teams does not require administrative access to install on Windows. For assistance, please contact your IT support staff. Once installed, Microsoft Teams can be found in your Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walk-in Sessions<br \/>\n<\/strong>IS&amp;T will be hosting walk-in sessions on both the Charles River Campus and BUMC where you can come in, try Teams hands-on, and have any questions answered. There is no need to register; just drop in. The introductory sessions will be held on Monday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 15th as follows:<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charles River Campus<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.bu.edu\/?id=647#!m\/288657\">IT Help Center, 179 Amory Street, West Campus<\/a><br \/>\n9:00 AM &#8211; 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM &#8211; 4:00 PM<\/li>\n<li><strong>BUMC<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.bu.edu\/?id=647#!m\/291434\">BUMC IT, 72 East Concord Street, 11th\u00a0floor, Room L-1109<\/a><br \/>\n10:00 AM &#8211; 4:00 PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Webinar:<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong>Introduction to Teams Meeting &amp; Chat<\/strong><br \/>\nThis 30-minute webinar will get you into Teams and up to speed on how to use the meeting and chat functions.
