{"id":105718,"date":"2017-03-29T16:31:32","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T20:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/?p=105718"},"modified":"2017-12-28T15:19:29","modified_gmt":"2017-12-28T20:19:29","slug":"firefox-52-sap-dropdowns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/2017\/03\/29\/firefox-52-sap-dropdowns\/","title":{"rendered":"Resolved: Firefox 52 &#8211; SAP problem with dropdowns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Update 12\/28\/17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This issue has been resolved with the system update completed on 12\/28\/17.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latest version of Firefox, 52, does not return items from dropdown boxes when you click on them in the BUworks Central portal.<\/p>\n<p><em>The best work around appears to be when you open a dropdown box, switch to the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to your selection.\u00a0 Then press the enter key.<\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Update 12\/15\/17<\/p>\n<p>This issue will be fixed with the SAP upgrade at end of December.\u00a0 The dropdown boxes in Firefox will be working correctly as of December 29th, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate your patience with this issue resolution!<\/p>\n<p>Update 6\/15\/17:<\/p>\n<p>Firefox has updated its ESR (Extended Support Release) this week to be version 52.\u00a0 All clients who are subscribed to the ESR channel (our recommended approach if you are a Firefox user) will\u00a0shortly be upgraded to that version.\u00a0 The dropdown problem will persist for all Firefox users from version 52 onward.<\/p>\n<p>SAP has provided a fix, but the required testing will be done in conjunction with our major upgrade to BUworks which is currently targeted for the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p><span>For help or assistance anytime, please contact the IT Help Center by sending an email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:ithelp@bu.edu\">ithelp@bu.edu<\/a><span> or calling 617-353-HELP (4357). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update 12\/28\/17 This issue has been resolved with the system update completed on 12\/28\/17.\u00a0 The latest version of Firefox, 52, does not return items from dropdown boxes when you click on them in the BUworks Central portal.
