Outlook Mobile App<\/h2>\n

Using the Outlook Mobile App allows you to leverage Duo two-factor authentication and provide the optimal Outlook mail experience.<\/p>\n

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, install the Microsoft Outlook<\/a> mobile app from the Google Play store.<\/li>\n
  2. After opening the app, tap Get Started<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter your full BU email address<\/strong> and tap Continue<\/strong>.

  4. At the BU branded screen, enter your BU email address<\/strong> and Kerberos password<\/strong>. Tap Sign in<\/strong>.
    \n\"\"<\/li>\n
  5. If your Office365 account requires you to authenticate with Duo<\/a>, a Duo page like the one below will appear. By default, Duo will send a push notification to your primary device (usually a smartphone) to authenticate.

  6. After you successfully authenticate, Outlook may ask if you want to add another account in the app. Tap\u00a0Skip<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  7. In the app tour that appears, choose Skip<\/strong> or tap the right arrow to continue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Navigate to Settings.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Under Accounts, select Add Account.<\/strong> (Samsung devices\u00a0Accounts and backup<\/strong> then\u00a0Accounts<\/strong> finally\u00a0Add account<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Depending on your version of Android, select either Email <\/strong>(Samsung devices select “Email” then “Office 365”) or Exchange <\/strong>(selecting Exchange will setup the Gmail mail application)

    4. Enter your complete e-mail address<\/strong>, which is\u00a0login@bu.edu<\/strong><\/em> (where login <\/em>is your BU login name.)

    5. Enter your\u00a0Kerberos password <\/strong>and click “Sign In”.

    6. Click “Send Me a Push” or “Call Me” to complete authenticating with Duo 2 Factor authentication (If Duo is not enabled on your account this step will be skipped).

    7. Set your Account options <\/strong>such as Days To Sync, Notifications, Sync Contacts, Sync Calendar.

    9. Click Activate<\/strong> to activate device administrator.
