These standards have been selected after a formal Request for Proposal process, and have been adopted as policy by Boston University. The goals of the Printer Standards are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Negotiated pricing on selected models<\/li>\n<li>Reduced cost of consumables from approved vendor.<\/li>\n<li>Improved support and management from your IT support.<\/li>\n<li>Reduced energy costs by selection of EPEAT certified printers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Purchase<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>BU Printer Standards are purchased through the GovConnection catalog in BUworks.<\/li>\n<li>For model information, pricing, and and how to place a PO in BUworks, visit <a title=\"Networked Printer Standards\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/p2p\/sourcing\/what-do-you-need\/technology-services\/printers\/\">Sourcing &amp; Procurement: Networked Printer Standards<\/a><\/li>\n<li>IS&amp;T supported departments are encouraged to consult with IS&amp;T Desktop Services when selecting a printer.
