The goal of ADW is to provide insights that will assist Boston University administration in strategy development and decision making.<br \/>\nThe Academic Data Warehouse contains undergraduate and graduate admissions data, registration and enrollment data, faculty teaching data, and financial aid data. The ADW team under the guidance of the Provost\u2019s Office, Enrollment &amp; Student Administration, Budget &amp; Business Affairs, and IS&amp;T will continue to add data and capabilities related to the student lifecycle.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ADW News<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\"><strong><span>We are pleased to announce that Financial Aid reporting is live! <\/span>(7\/23\/26)<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>This release brings financial aid into the ADW with six certified reports in two new folders. The <strong>Financial Aid<\/strong> folder contains two report builders \u2014 enrollment for an aid population (FA1) and student aid history (FA2) \u2014 for aid administrators and anyone tracking their students\u2019 aggregate aid, population trends, and enrollment. The <strong>Financial Aid Executive<\/strong> folder contains award-level detail and aid expense reporting \u2014 item type reconciliation (FAX0), student aid award detail (FAX1), award expense by item type (FAX2), and tuition discount (FAX3). Financial aid is a new access area with its own approval; see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/data-management-analytics\/academic-reporting-analytics\/student-reporting-analytics\/access\/\">ADW Access<\/a> page for how to request it. Please see our FAQ and Help Guide pages for more information about the new reports.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Access and Training Sessions<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/oir\/files\/__restricted\/entire-bu-community\/ADW-Data-Dictionary.pdf\" title=\"ADW Data Dictionary\"><\/a><\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Academic Data Warehouse access is granted based on business need in each data area. For information about gaining access to the ADW, including links to required confidentiality forms, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/data-management-analytics\/academic-reporting-analytics\/student-reporting-analytics\/access\/\">ADW Access<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Training is also required for access to the ADW. As part of the access request process, you will be assigned one of our dedicated online tutorials on Terrier eDev, which you must complete before access is granted. You can revisit these tutorials at any time to hone or refresh your skills, especially as new data areas are added to the warehouse.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Certified Report Catalog <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Definitions of report attributes and metrics used in all releases and reports for the Academic Data Warehouse project: <a href=\"\/tech\/files\/__restricted\/faculty-and-staff\/ADW-Certified-Report-Catalog-20260723.xlsx\">ADW Certified Report Catalog<\/a>. Last updated 7\/23\/26.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tutorials &amp; Help Guides<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/data-management-analytics\/academic-reporting-analytics\/student-reporting-analytics\/help-guides\/\">Help Guides<\/a> describing individual reports in the Admissions, Registration &amp; Enrollment, Faculty, and Financial Aid data areas are available, in addition to step by step instructions for using the MicroStrategy reporting tool.
