The left side of the page lists current users and their roles. The roles are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Site Admin<\/strong> &#8211; access to user management, site options, section groups, contact form recipients, Google Analytics settings, and other\/future admin features.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lead Editor<\/strong> &#8211; \u00a0edit pages and news posts, create new pages and posts, access calendar functions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Section Editor<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0available when the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/websites\/www\/wordpress\/advanced-workflows\/section-editing\/\">BU Section Editing plugin<\/a> is enabled, create and edit pages\/posts only in sections where granted permission to do so.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contributor<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0create new drafts, but has limited metadata editing ability and cannot publish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subscriber<\/strong> &#8211; Content reader who may post comments, if comments are enabled on WordPress site content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><em>Departmental administrators are responsible for adding\/removing editors from departmental websites in BU WordPress.<\/em> <strong>See our documentation on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/websites\/www\/wordpress\/how-to\/manage-editors\/\">How To Add\/Remove Editors (WordPress Users).<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Site Admins who manage users for their site will do so on the Users screen.
