It provides up-to-date student medical compliance statuses as needed and as required to the Office of the Registrar and the State of Massachusetts Health Services. It uses Point and Click&#8217;s (PnC) EMR system.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits<\/h2>\n<p>By providing all clients appropriate and convenient access to a single repository for all relevant information, this service reduces costs and improves accuracy through the elimination of manual entry, and ensures compliance with BU policies and state health regulations.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Features<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrates with internal BU services, in particular, the Registration service<\/li>\n<li>Provides both mass and targeted email communication<\/li>\n<li>Delivers information and transactional functionality through a variety of targeted portals<\/li>\n<li>Provides distributed management tools to administrators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What to Expect<\/h2>\n<p>This service normally will be available 24 by 7 except for standard change windows, as described in <a href=\"\/tech\/about\/service\/change\/\">IS&amp;T\u2019s standard policies, procedures, and schedules for making changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To access the Student Health service, one needs:\n<ul>\n<li>A computer with <a href=\"\/tech\/services\/teaching\/lms\/blackboard\/system-requirements\/\">supported hardware and operating system<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"\/tech\/services\/teaching\/lms\/blackboard\/how-to\/web-browser\/\">supported web browser.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A BU login account is required to access functionality on the Faculty\/Staff Link (departments and staff). Staff members require a mainframe account and DUO to access functionality on the mainframe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"GettingStarted\"><\/a>Getting Started<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Students: In the <a title=\"Student Link\" href=\"\/studentlink\">Student Link<\/a>, select Personal, then Compliance<\/li>\n<li>Administrators: Use the <a title=\"Faculty\/Staff Link\" href=\"\/link\/bin\/uiscgi_facstaff.pl\">Faculty\/Staff Link<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Certain distributed administrative functions may require additional training from central administration or the department.
