You can print to various Boston University printers, including those in the Print Center at Mugar Memorial Library.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits<\/h2>\n<p>Print to convenient locations distributed throughout campus. Release print jobs when you&#8217;re ready to pick them up, at the location that is convenient for you. Use Convenience Points to pay for print jobs beyond your normal semester allocation. Preview printing costs before printing.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Features<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Available from any computer on the BU campus network or connected through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/remote\/vpn\/\" title=\"VPN Software\">BU VPN<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Allows you to view your current page allocation, manage your print jobs, and view your printing history.<\/li>\n<li>Integrated with the Convenience Points system.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/printing\/myprint\/myprint-locations\/\">Convenient locations<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/printing\/myprint\/myprint-configure\/\">Easy printer installation<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both black &amp; white and color <span>on 8.5&#8243; x 11&#8243; <\/span>printing is available.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submit print jobs via the web (limited to <span>PDF, DOC\/DOCX, XLS\/XLSX , PPT\/PPTX, XPS, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF and BMP file formats).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just swipe your ID card on any MyPrint printer to release your job.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What to Expect<\/h2>\n<p>This service normally will be available 24 by 7 except for standard change windows, as described in <a href=\"\/tech\/about\/service\/change\/\">IS&amp;T\u2019s standard policies, procedures, and schedules for making changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Printing from a personal computer requires <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/printing\/myprint\/myprint-configure\/\" title=\"MyPrint: Configure Printer on Device\">initial configuration<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Printing from off campus requires that you use the <a href=\"\/tech\/services\/cccs\/remote\/vpn\/\">VPN <\/a>client to connect to the campus network.<\/li>\n<li>To print jobs beyond your normal semester allocation, you will need Convenience Points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a id=\"Cost\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Cost<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Each undergraduate student is allocated 100 sheets of paper per semester for black and white printing.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate students are allocated 500 sheets per semester for black and white printing.<\/li>\n<li><span>Faculty and staff will be allocated 100 sheets of paper per semester for black and white printing.\u00a0 This allotment is for the MyPrint printers, not for department-owned printers. Faculty and staff taking courses will not receive additional quota.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Once your allocation has been exhausted, a per sheet charge will be applied via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/housing\/dining\/convenience\/\">University Convenience Points<\/a> system.<\/li>\n<li>Black and white prints will be charged $0.08 per sheet for either single or double-sided printing.<\/li>\n<li>The cost for color printing is $0.25 for single-sided or $0.40 for double-sided.
