{"id":6522,"date":"2009-10-09T09:15:26","date_gmt":"2009-10-09T13:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/?page_id=6522"},"modified":"2021-02-12T11:10:14","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T16:10:14","slug":"order","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/phone\/voice-messaging\/order\/","title":{"rendered":"Add or Remove Voice Mail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Faculty and Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To request new voice mail, remove voice mail, or make changes to current service submit\u00a0a ticket to the IT Help Center by calling (617) 353-4357 or emailing <a href=\"mailto:ithelp@bu.edu\">ithelp@bu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>When ordering new voice mail, be sure to include the line that is getting the new mailbox, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/call-answering\/voice-mail\/types-of-mailboxes\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">type of mailbox<\/a> needed,\u00a0\u00a0and the &#8220;0-out&#8221; number.\u00a0 When a caller reaches voice mail, they must have the option of reaching a live person by pressing &#8220;0&#8221; during business hours.\u00a0 The &#8220;0-out&#8221; is generally a main departmental number.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/phone\/order\/students\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ordered local service<\/a> through Verizon for your dorm room, BU voice mail is included in the cost.\u00a0 Please <a href=\"mailto:ithelp@bu.edu\">email<\/a> us with your name and your dorm room telephone number and we will add\u00a0 voice mail to your service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty and Staff To request new voice mail, remove voice mail, or make changes to current service submit\u00a0a ticket to the IT Help Center by calling (617) 353-4357 or emailing ithelp@bu.edu.
