BU CMS User Roles<\/p><\/div>\n

The default user roles for the BU WordPress CMS are Site Admin<\/strong> and Lead Editor <\/strong>(previously known as Web Admin and Web Editor respectively). As soon as the section editing plugin is activated, a new role becomes available \u2014 Section Editor<\/strong>. Before a user can be added to a section editing group, they must first have the role of Section Editor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To change user roles, click on the Users<\/strong> menu item and:<\/p>\n

  1. Find the row for the user that you would like to switch roles for in the table and click the checkbox to the left of their username.<\/li>\n
  2. Once checked, open the Change role to\u2026 <\/strong>menu and\u00a0select Section Editor<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Click the Change<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Roles can be changed from the Users table<\/p><\/div>\n

    You can confirm that Beta WordPress (wpcms02) now has the \u201cSection Editor\u201d role by looking at the \u201cRole\u201d column.<\/p>\n
